About Padraig Daly.

3-D artist and character designer

I don’t mind relocating to other areas or countries if the need is there for an interesting project or job on-site.

I’m very passionate about modeling, texturing, lighting and animation. Especially developing characters or creatures. I really enjoy how the 3D industry keeps redefining itself every year and to keep pushing the envelope.

Originally I started out my career as a mograph animationer until I got hooked in the 3D world. Since then I’ve never looked back and have been fortunate enough to work with companies and studios in different parts of the world.

Being a CG Artist for many years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with most 2D, 3D and animation software on the market.

When I work as a freelance artist, I’ve tried to build up a versatile toolbox that fit my workflow. I always try to use the tool that’s best for each purpose, and over the years I’ve got my favorite setup which has been within my budget.

 

I have quite some experience of other 3D applications as well though, in the end it’s just tools in a toolbox, not religion.
